Baskins Creek Sounds

You can shop all you want in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. You can walk til you're worn out on the streets or in the mountains. Your children have unlimited activities available. Dollywood,and Splash Country

are just a short drive.

You can eat whatever you want, laugh til you cry, or sleep til you are rested. You choose. Here are some links to help you plan those things in advance.

Your first activity will probably be to go to the grocery store. We have a printed map and a discount card waiting for you. You'll probably find coffee or tea you can enjoy even before that. The drinking water is good right out of the faucet.

Rushing Mountain Streams and waterfalls are popular. Hike to these in a short period of time (appx 1 hr to the waterfall on Baskins Creek). Leave your car parked at the house and walk up the street! I would be surprised if you see more that a couple of people.

Nature Drives are popular and very enjoyable. If you have time you'll probably want to make the 11 mile loop drive in Cades Cove and/ the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail.

The Smoky Mountain National Park headquarters is a good place to find tons of information about the park as well as PRECAUTIONS CONCERNING BEARS AND OTHER WILD ANIMALS in the area. Please observe these precautions whether you are on a mountain top, in your car, or on the front porch of Baskins Creek Sounds.
